About Me

Welcome to the ‘little bit about me’

From working for West Midlands Ambulance Service on the front line to becoming a Deputy Registrar at Dudley Register Office, registering Births, Deaths and Marriages,  I have extensive experience of helping people at important moments in their lives. Whilst working for the Ambulance Service I experienced raw grief and at the Register Office I helped families to register the death of their family member.

About Me

Throughout my career, I have always held professional positions and after many years conducting marriages, I realised that becoming a Civil Celebrant would be the perfect career change for me. Having attended a wonderful family funeral led by a Celebrant, I realised that I too wanted to help families to create the perfect funeral service for their loved ones. It is the final thing that you can do for someone and therefore so important to get it right. I retrained with The Fellowship Of Independent Celebrants and am now extremely privileged to be able to help families through their grief at time when they often need someone to guide them.

My Role

My role involves sitting down with families and planning every detail of the service. Having a BA degree in English, I am able to use my written skills and creativity to write the Eulogy.  I spend time getting to know all about the person who has passed away, so that I can create a bespoke service which reflects the personality of the deceased. This is an important part of the grieving process, recalling all of the wonderful memories that you once shared can be very bitter sweet.

Why Me?

I am friendly and personable, and whilst guiding you through everything will also support you emotionally. I have conducted many funerals, and have received incredibly positive feedback, including from Funeral Directors, who have told me that my services are the best they had ever seen.

I can conduct cremations, burials, woodland burials, interment of ashes, scattering of ashes and memorials.

I feel that my life and career led me to this point, and I have truly found the job for me.  If you entrust me with the service of your loved one, I will work passionately to ensure that you walk away knowing that we did everything we could together to create a wonderful final goodbye.
